Agent Provocateur is looking for a Head of Retail Operations to spearhead the retail operations department and lead on designated projects. Reporting to the Managing Director, and overseeing the retail operations team based at Head Office, the post holder will devise, implement and ensure quality retail operations covering all retail owned territories in which the company operates. This role also encompasses the devising and implementation of projects across the business to drive effective retail operations and business performance.
If you have at least 5 years’ experience in retail operations management, including within the luxury sector, exceptional project management skills and experience of driving new system adoption and implementation, we would love to hear from you. Main duties and responsibilities: |
- Devise, lead and implement global retail operations strategies to improve store operations to align with Company commercial goals and uphold brand vision, creative integrity, style and tone.
- Set store operating targets and budgets to drive impactful initiatives whilst ensuring pro-active financial management and analysis of results. www.fashiontopjobs.com
- Reactive function for all store operating issues and ensure problems are dealt with effectively and efficiently.
- Devise and implement a calendar of global retail communication including suitable instructional information and materials on both a local and global level across retail. Ensure focus on key store standards, alignment and trading information.
- Oversee the retail learning and development function, in collaboration with the Head of HR where appropriate, including the management of a Retail Trainer. This function should deliver high quality training tools and implement a global training matrix to improve retail KPIs and ensure a consistent client journey.
- Drive Store Assessments through the Regional Managers and Visuals team. Plan structure of governance, including Mystery Shop programme to uphold standards. www.retailtopjobs.com
- Establish a robust stock management programme to improve stock loss and hit KPIs targets. To include structure of stock takes, investigation, analysis and follow up, roll out of loss prevention programmes and supporting policies.
- Spearhead retail systems upgrade projects including the confirmation and roll out of a new global POS.
- Review existing retail policies and procedures across the portfolio to determine necessary changes. Construct plan of communication and governance to ensure adherence.
- Lead team to project manage store openings, closures and relocations to a high standard.
- Work across functions to ensure all retail processes are achieved with maximum use of expert skill sets within Head Office, including marketing and merchandising expertise.
- Lead retail HQ workforce through clear objectives and communications on a regular basis.
- Establish department objectives, priorities and set a schedule of reporting to the Senior Team.
- Support continued senior stakeholder relationships for retail, across the sector and with Department Stores within the retail portfolio.
- Keep informed of best practice in retail operations, and retail market innovations, and assessment of their fit and value to the company’s retail business;
- Establish and monitor direct reports’ staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives and establish priorities.
